	E-Scooters The E-Z-Rider electric scooter has many uses. It is a silent and clean mode of transport, ideal in the city for covering the last few miles to work. Or for leisure use around the golf course, campsite or marina. And even for getting around company premises and warehouses. Approved for use on public roads E-Z-Rider electric scooters are a legal mode of transport approved for use on public roads. In January 2002 they were given European type approval (no. e492/610148*00) and so can be ridden in all EU member states. They are subject to the same traffic rules as mopeds: the minimum rider age is 16, cycle paths must be used where available and no helmet is required. Two models The 400W motor is silent and environmentally friendly. A chain drives the rear wheel. Underneath the footplatform are two 12v batteries. The motor is protected against overloading and more than 80 per cent discharge. The running time is at least 20 km. All our electric kick scooters are supplied with front and rear lights, a bell and a rear-view mirror. Touring is the Luxury model with speedometer, eco switch, and front suspension. The recommended retail price is ¤ 799.- for the Standard version, ¤ 899.- for the Touring model. Foldaway frame Light tubular metal frame fitted with a wide aluminium footplate. The frame folds up, making the scooter easy to carry by car, boat or train. Wheels Two 12” (300 mm) wheels with light metal rims and fitted with wide, profiled tyres. Brakes Pinch brakes on the front wheel, drum brakes on the rear wheel. Maintenance-free motor 400-watt brushless and maintenance-free DC motor with protection against overloading and discharge. The motor speed is continuously variable, and it is operated from a lever on the handlebars. Batteries 2 x 12V/10AH. Protected against more than 80 per cent discharge, for longer life. Recharge time with basic charger: 4-6 hours. Optional fast charger available for two-hour recharging. Optional charger for use in a Car, boat or caravan. Maximum speed Appr. 24 km/h
